Our Story

In the beginning of the World’s Largest Global Health Pandemic ever witnessed in my lifetime I began to think about my future financial stability and the uncertainty of employment. Being that I was born in Louisiana and raised in Tennessee the first idea that came to mind is a mobile shaved ice business. Louisiana has the niche on original shaved ice snowballs other places have what they call “snow cones,” which is more of a ‘crunchy” consistency of ice with syrup. But Louisiana’s shaved ice is like no other it is more of a “snowball” consistency. So, I thought why not create a business that could thrive in the Louisiana market with the vast variety of festivals held here per year as well as venture out to other states such as Tennessee and introduce “New Orleans Shaved Ice,” to the world. So, while working at job #2 which was an overnight job, I began to research all about snowball businesses’, and how to get the ice to be the consistency of snow. After 3 months of research, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life. I quit job #2 which produced the most income but consumed much of my time and went into business for myself. Now mind you up until now I had not been a huge risk taker but in a time when so many are venturing out and innovating, I too decided to be an innovator and thus, Queen’s Snowballs Shaved Ice and Treats was born.
